A Pile of Friends

The Senior girls have been hard at work practicing for their Follies performance. They are singing and dancing to "Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend". They have so much energy, but still managed to wear themselves out!

Tag! You're It!

I was recently tagged by my friends Pam and Carman. This was one I hadn't seen before. It's called the middle-name game and here are the rules:
1. You have to post the rules before you give your answers.
2. You must list one fact about yourself beginning with each letter of your middle name. (If you don't have a middle name, use your maiden name).
3. After you are tagged, you need to update your blog with your middle name and your answers.
4. At the end of your blog post, you need to tag one person for each letter of your middle name. (Be sure to leave them a comment telling them they've been tagged and that they need to read your blog for details.)

So - here are my answers:
My middle name is Marie:
M - Michigander - Iwas born and raised there and most of my family still lives there.
A - Affectionate
R - Religious - My faith is a very important part of my life.
I - Intelligent - at least I'd like to believe I am!
E - Easygoing

Have fun with this! I'm looking forward to reading everyone's answers! and now I'm fixing to tag: Cheri, Tam, Deb, Tricia and Chris.

Welcome Little Annie Paige

My newest great-niece, Annie Paige, was born at 3:15 this afternoon! She weighed 8 lbs 1 oz. and was 20 1/2 inches long. Congratulations to Jason and Melissa on their new bundle of joy and to Big Sister Brooke - I know she'll be an awesome big sister once she gets over the shock of it! We're so happy that God has blessed you with another precious little girl! There's nothing so wonderful as a sweet new life! We're so happy for you!

Saturday's Crop at the Shack!

Well - the CSS Crop is now a thing of the past and we had such a great day! There were 13 challenges posted and 87 pages completed by the people participating in the crop! Carman was very generous with the prizes and we had a great Bingo game thanks to Tabby - The Shack's Bingo Maniac! (Just kidding Tabby - you know we love you!) The theme of the crop was "Bada Bling Bada Bloom" and it was all about bling and glammour! There were so many awesome challenges that I can't wait to get to as soon as I have the chance to. The beautiful pages that were completed did nothing but inspire me! I wish I could scrap as much as I wanted to so I could get them all done. These are the two pages I used as my challenges. When I get a chance, I'm going to make the Snowball page into a two-page layout since I still have so many photos that need to be included. Nobody puts on a crop like the Shack! If you aren't already familiar with The Creative Scrap Shack, you need to stop by and introduce yourself: http://www.creativescrapshack.com/store/home.php

Accordian Purse Album

Last fall at the Scrabooks from the Heart retreat in Hinton, Jennifer taught us how to make these small books. They turned out cute and were quick and easy to make so I used it as my Technique Tuesday project at Creative Scrap Shack today. It's a fun little project that I thought might be a good class to teach when my sisters all get together for a day of scrapping again. The directions for making them are at the Shack at this link: http://www.creativescrapshack.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=11087

Creative Scrap Shack January DT Layouts

The Creative Scrap Shack's January kit was sponsored by Scenic Route. They generously sent us the entire Roxbury line and I totally enjoyed working with all these fun papers as well as the extra goodies they sent us! I thought the kit was awesome! This was my favorite of the layouts I made. Kristin and Jenna were on each other's nerves the whole time I tried to get our Christmas picture this year. I finally gave up trying to get a good picture and decided to try again when they were in better moods. The journaling reads: Christmas Card Shoot - Dear Santa: It didn't go so well. But we promise to be nicer to each other next year. Love, Kristin and Jenna. The little red embellishment says "Dear Santa - I can explain".

Amanda L. (http://www.amandalaboy.blogspot.com/) updated her blog with a challenge from her friend to post her top 10 favorite Layouts of 2007. I thought this would be a fun challenge to join in on, so here are my top ten from this past year. Of course, my favorites are subject to constant change!
