I loved this story from Gina's blog so I had to post a link to it. I will definitely wear red on Friday beginning this week!

Wow - I can't believe it's been so long since I updated! I've been painting walls and didn't know where to stop so I haven't been doing much scrapping or creating lately. Last night I was in the mood to just play so I did one of the scraplift challenges at Backporch Memories. I scraplifted a layout by one of my favorite scrappers - Tami Floyd. Tami and Cheri have an ongoing challenge to use some of our stash and last week challenged us to use Fancy Pants papers so I combined both challenges and this was the result. It felt so good to play with my papers again!

Whenever I go to Target I have to check out the Dollar Spot! It's not that I need anything in there but I almost always find something fun and since it's only a dollar I don't feel guilty treating myself. Last week I found the cutest paper organizer and notes - didn't need them, but they were fun! Now the glasses - that was something I hate to admit that I'm really in NEED of! The older I get, the more I realize that. Not only because my old eyes need a little help, but because my old brain keeps forgetting where I set them down. Thanks to the Dollar Spot, I now have a fun pair of glasses scattered in all the necessary places around the house (at the computer, at the telephone (especially for using the telephone book), on my bedside table . . . you get the idea! Love me the Dollar Spot!

This was the last week of our emotions album taught by Tam. Our emotion for the week was "confidence" - something I have always struggled with. That made this a hard assignment for me, but I finally decided I was over-thinking it and did just a simple (but true) page in honor of my sweet husband, Kim. I am so thankful for all of my family but having Kim's unconditional love allows me step out of my comfort zone, knowing that if I fail at whatever I do, he'll provide a listening ear, a hug and a soft place to fall.
