One Hour Challenge

Tonight was a one-hour challenge at Creative Scrappers and it came at a good time since we're iced in and going nowhere! At a specified time a sketch is posted and we have an hour to finish a page based on the sketch and 15 minutes to get it uploaded. One-hour challenges are always a real challenge for me since I tend to be a very slow scrapper. I did mine using a really old picture - but still one of my favorites.
The journaling says:
"Always remember . . .
Daddy loves you
even when it doesn't seem that way."

I can't tell you how much I miss this little girl:

I'm In a Scrappin Mood!

Finally - after what seems like forever - the mood to scrap hit me. Other than the recipe books I made as Christmas gifts I haven't felt like scrapping in what seems like forever. This page was done as a challenge contest at Creative Scrappers. We were supposed to use the title "Way Back When." So here it is. The journaling is Old Days by Chicago. I used some of my old college pictures from back in the 70's.

I now have hope that my mojo won't be gone forever.

Holiday Recap 2008

So - this year I decided I wasn't going to knock myself out trying to get everything done during the holidays. I was going to do what I could while trying to enjoy the season more - AND I DID! We had a wonderful Christmas and the chance to truly enjoy friends, gifts, food and family. Unfortunately, one of the casualties of this decision was my Christmas card list. For the first time ever I didn't get the cards out. The other sacrificial lamb was this blog. As you may or may not have noticed, I haven't posted in quite some time. So in my feeble attempt to catch up I thought I'd post some holiday pictures. Hopefully I'll have some layouts to add soon, now that the Christmas season has been totally enjoyed, cleaned up and put away for 2008.
