Yesterday Kim and I celebrated our 25th anniversary! On one hand I feel like that was a VERY long time ago, and yet on the other hand it could have been yesterday. We've done a lot of living since then - not always fun, but altogether very rewarding and I can say without hesitation that I would do it all over again. In the 25 years Kim and I have been married, we've loved and squabbled; raised two beautiful daughters; said goodbye to one mother and one father, 4 grandparents, numerous aunts and uncles and a few friends. We've been rich and we've been poor; we've changed sizes, jobs and houses; we've traveled - more before the kids and less after they were born; We've loved and lost pets; supported each other through surgeries and illnesses; worshiped together and fought with each other. We've shared friendships, fears, hopes, dreams and tears, and through all of that we've built a life and a history together that cannot be replaced by anyone else on Earth. Thank you Kim, for being a wonderful husband and daddy. It hasn't always been easy, but it's been such a worthwhile adventure! I'm looking forward to the next 25 with you!

I'm so excited to be on the Creative Scrappers Design Team for the months of August through October! I love their sketches and hopefully this will give me the motivation I need to get back to my scrap table. Thanks for the opportunity Kristine! This is the layout I used as my DT Application Sketch:

This layout was done as a challenge at Backporch Memories, as well as a sketch challenge at Creative-Scrappers. we were challenged to make a layout using the word "Today". I did this wedding page in honor of our 25th anniversary later this summer. I used the lyrics from an old John Denver song: "Today" (A million tomorrows shall all pass away, ere I forget all the joy that is mine today.) In all honesty, I didn't particularly enjoy my wedding day. I was very unhappy with how my wedding gown looked on me after it was altered. (I thought it made me look fat - Ha. I wore a size 4 so I probably looked like I was a huge size 6!). I also had a bad hair day, wasn't happy with the flowers and was embarrassed to be the center of attention. But in spite of all that, there was true joy to be marrying Kim and excitement at the thought of starting our new life together!
