Creative Scrappers Sketch No. 67

Today was the reveal of Sketch No. 67 at Creative-Scrappers:

I used an old picture of my dad and his cousin Marie that was taken in the Spring of 1943 when he came home to visit on leave. He had just finished basic training and "tank school" and was home to visit before shipping off to England. I enjoyed listening to him talk about what he remembered about the picture. He said he remembered how good it was to be home. For him, the hardest part of being in the Army was being away from his family.
