Ugly Paper Challenge

This week it was my turn to host a challenge at Creative-Scrappers.com. I challenged anyone who wanted to play along (as well as myself) to use an ugly piece of paper that you've had in your stash for awhile. This is the paper I used - I cannot even imagine why I bought it in the first place! I've kept it around for several years and decided it was finally time to try to do something with it.


I started out by cutting and weaving papers through it; distressing it with paint; sewing on it and finally by spraying it with two different colors of Glimmer Mist (which doesn’t show up in the scan, but leaves a slight shimmer on the page).

Here is the finished page I made out of it:



(Journaling: Common sense told me it wouldn't always be this way. I knew that there would eventually be some sibling rivalry, squabbling and fighting. But we were off to a good start and common sense told me to enjoy every minute of the sweetness while it lasted.
