October Challenge

The October 1-15 challenge at Creative-Scrappers was to use a transparency on your layout. The biggest challenge for me was trying to find the transparencies I knew I had bought but never used! Once I found the two I had, the page was quick, easy and fun to do. This is a picture of Kristin and the girls in her club taken at a weekend retreat at a cabin in Northern Michigan.

Creative-Scrappers Sketch No. 73

Today was another reveal day at Creative-Scrappers! We used Sketch No.73 by Lady Grace. I really enjoyed working with this one!

This is what I did with it. The pictures were taken by Jenna and her friends at a park in Vienna.

Abbey Road Layout

I've started working on a scrapbook for Jenna's semester in Europe - hopefully I can get it together to give to her at Christmas. This is one of the first layouts I've finished. The pictures were taken during the first week of their trip when they were in London.

Creative Scrappers Sketch No. 71

Sketch No. 71 has been posted at Creative-Scrappers. It's a great sketch by Karen Gerber that I'll definitely use again. Here's the sketch, and my take on it. Thanks Karen for giving us a great one to work with!

Journaling:
"When you come to the end of a perfect day and you sit alone with your thought; While the chimes ring out with a carol gay for the joy that the day has brought. Do you think what the end of a perfect day can mean to a tired heart? When the sun goes down with a flaming ray and the dear hearts have to part? Well, this is the end of a perfect day, near the end of a journey too. But it leaves a thought that is big and strong, with a wish that is kind and true. For mem'ry has painted this perfect day with colors that never fade, and we find at the end of a perfect day, the soul of a friend we've made." (Carrie Jacobs-Bond)
